  • K4RPT 442.025 D-STAR repeater and gateway is up and running.  Everything is fully functional although further tweaking will continue.  System and gateway are open so feel free to use them.  Thanks to Ed, K4BQN and Icom America for use of the D-STAR components.
     

  • Those with a valid FCC license are invited to use the GMRS repeater on a temporary basis such as while on vacation or visiting the area.  This is what we mean by "Open System".  This is a multiple toned input system so keep in mind there could be other family user tones in use.  Regular users can request a unique ctcss tone to keep their group radios quiet if they wish.  Regular and frequent usage requires permission.  Please contact WQJG975 or WQEZ987 on the air or send a note to info *at* k4rpt *dot* com.  GMRS users should read and follow our simple guidelines for acceptable use and operation.
     

  • 442.400 repeater system is open to all licensed amateurs and you are encouraged to use it.  A detailed command sheet is available for regular users once we get to know you.  We run EchoIRLP and a prefix digit is required depending on the service you wish to use.  IRLP commands need to be prefaced with a "C" on this system.  To connect to a node or reflector, key the repeater and hit C plus the four digit ID (Cxxxx) and un-key.  When finished use C73 to disconnect.   For Echolink the prefix is "CA".  To connect hit CA + the node number.  Use C73 to disconnect Echolink as well.  The recommended practice is wait a minute or two when first coming on the repeater and then do a C#0 to speak the node status before issuing a connect command.  A friendly control operator is almost always around so if you need help, just ask.  Note that Echolink PC clients are not allowed on this system without prior authorization.   Notice: 442.400 system is currently down for repairs and will be back on the air asap..
